You can upgrade to our Luxurious Cabin Experience - $50.00 pp in your party (including children) – includes sheets, pillowcases, bathroom towels, beach towel in summer, bathroom essentials - shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, body soap.

 Check in is 4:00 p.m. - Check out is 10:00 a.m. 

 If you are travelling from Highway 11 to 118, there are no gas stations between Highway 11 and our resort.  There is a PetroCanada at Gravenhurst (on Highway 11).  That's your last opportunity to fill up.  Once at the resort, there are gas stations in Haliburton or Minden (15 - 20 minutes on the other side of our resort).

Please provide us with an estimated time of arrival.  While we are usually on the grounds somewhere, we like to be in the office for your arrival/check-in.  You can text your name, cabin number,  and arrival time to 519-495-1446.  

We prefer you to arrive during daylight hours in order to navigate the grounds/parking etc.  However if it is necessary to arrive after dark please let us know and we will accommodate. 

Groceries are very expensive in Haliburton County.  It is recommended that you shop before you leave your home town.  There are several farmers markets throughout the summer however, and we encourage you to visit and buy local produce and crafts, etc.

There is a good amount of hiking in the area, from easy to difficult.  We recommend bringing a solid shoe (running shoe or hiking shoe) if you plan to take advantage of the hikes.  James Cooper Trail in particular is just outside our gates and requires a good shoe, but is well worth the time to hike.  The view of our resort from the top is breathtaking.

Parking is limited on the resort.  There is  only one parking space outside each cabin.  Additional parking is available in visitor parking areas.  Please adhere to all parking signs and do not drive over septic areas.

We encourage participation in the large communal bonfire in the evenings for which we provide the firewood, however if you prefer a private bonfire, we have some portable firepits available at $25 for the duration of your stay and includes the first bundle of firewood.  Additional firewood is to be purchased at the resort at $10 per bundle.   No outside firewood is allowed due to transport of invasive insects and tree diseases.

Wild fires are a high risk in Algonquin Highlands.  Open burning is only permitted by the Township between 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., (April to October) unless there is a TOTAL fire ban in which case there can be no bonfire.  Fire status will be posted at the resort office.  Please note that no one is more disappointed than we are when a fire ban is put in place, however this beautiful country comes with high risks and we all want to protect it.  We ask you to be understanding if there is a fire ban and realize that it is the decision of our Township and we, at the resort, have no control of the fire bans.  Fire bans are not reason for cancellation/refunds.
