Pet Policy

We are a “Pet Friendly Resort” and pets are welcome throughout the year but must be registered at check-in.  $50 fee per pet, per stay. Pets are not allowed on any furniture or beds. After your stay if extra cleaning is required due to a pet, a minimum $100 cleaning fee will be charged to the credit card on file. Pets are never to be left alone in the cottage (unless crated) or outside, and must be leashed at all times and always picked up after. 

Our cottages are housekeeping units. I.e. each cottage is fully furnished and the kitchens are stocked with cooking equipment and accessories. Each cottage has a private use barbecue on the deck. You need to bring bedding, towels, food and pantry supplies. Click here for a detailed list of what to bring/not bring.

You can upgrade to our Luxury Cabin Experience package which will include bed sheets, bath towels and face cloths, beach towel (summer) bathroom essentials. All bedding will be clean and sanitized between stays. The package is $100. plus HST per person per stay.   You MUST bring  and use your own bedding (sheets and pillow cases) if you are not purchasing the upgrade.  

Do not bring black garbage bags as they are not permitted in our local landfill.  Garbage bags are provided in the cabins.  Garbage must be sorted as per the local requirements (details are set out in the Guest  Binder found in your cabin).  Alternatively, you can take your garbage home.

All cottages are strictly non-smoking. A minimum cleaning fee of $250.00 plus hst will be charged to the credit card on file for anyone smoking in a cottage.  Smoking is permitted outdoors on the resort, however will be limited /restricted, if requested by another guest.

50% of the reservation is due to firm your booking, with the remainder due prior to check-in. A credit card must be registered on file for your booking, however you can pay by e-transfer if you prefer.

Coppertree Resort accepts cancellations of a cottage reservation up to 30 days prior to the date of reservation/arrival. Refunds, less a $100 administration fee will only be processed once the original reservation has been booked by another guest/group. All no-shows or late cancellations are subject to the full charge unless we are able to replace the booking. 

There are no refunds or discounts for late arrivals, early departures. No-shows or cancellation less than 2 weeks prior to reservation date will be payable in full and charged to the credit card on file.

Check-in is 4:00 p.m - 8:00 p.m..; check-out is 10:00 a.m. We will do our best to accommodate early check-in and late check-out requests, however we are not able to guarantee such arrangements.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The renter agrees:

• That the number of people occupying the property shall not exceed the number stated in the reservation. If more occupants are staying in the cabin, there will be a      charge to the credit card on file of $100 plus HST per night, per additional person including infants and children.
• To keep the cottage and contents thereof and effects in or about the property in the same condition as at the commencement of the Rental and to report immediately details of any damage to the property or cottages. All contents (furniture / dishes / contents) must be returned to original places and not left in other cottages at check-out.
• To vacate the property at the end of the rental and to leave it in a clean and tidy condition. (dishes  washed, dried and put away), fridge free of debris, garbage properly sorted.
• To supervise minors at the beach, in the Lodge, and at the playground, as well as on the grounds of the resort in general.
• A quiet time of 11:00 p.m. is  expected for the comfort of other guests, your hosts and the neighbours.     If you are non-compliant with this request, you may be asked to pack up and leave the resort immediately. Under these circumstances there will be      no refunds. Any damages or required cleaning will be charged to the credit  card on file.
• Coppertree Highlands Cottage  Resort ("The Resort") offers a number of facilities, equipment and activities for the benefit of the guests, including but not limited to      watercraft, barbeques, an unsupervised beach, children's playground, the  lodge, and bon fire sites. I AM AWARE AND UNDERSTAND that the use of the facilities/equipment and participation in the activities may involve many risks, dangers and hazards, including but not limited to the risk of serious injury, death or property damage. I acknowledge that I  am voluntarily participating in the activities. I FREELY ACCEPT  AND ASSUME any and all of the risks, dangers and hazards involved  and the possibility of injury, death or property damage, whether caused by      the negligence of the company or otherwise. In consideration of The Resort      providing its facilities and activities, I hereby agree as follows:
• TO WAIVE ANY AND ALL CLAIMS that I have or may in the  future have against The Resort and its directors, officers, employees,  agents, affiliated corporations, and representatives (collectively, the  “Releasees”)
• TO RELEASE the Releasees from any and  all liability for any loss, damage, injury that I or my children or next  of kin or friends may suffer as a result of any aspect of my use of the facilities, equipment or participation in activities DUE TO ANY CAUSE WHATSOEVER INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE, GROSS NEGLIGENCE, BREACH OF CONTRACT,  BREACH OF STATUTORY DUTY OF CARE AND/OR BREACH OF THE OCCUPIER’S LIABILITY  ACT ON THE PART OF THE RELEASEES
• TO HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFY  THE RELEASEES from      any and all liability for any property damage or personal injury to any      third party resulting from my use of the facilities or equipment or  participation in activities.
• Not to make any claim or take proceedings arising out of my use of the facilities/equipment or participation in activities against any person or corporation who might claim contribution or indemnity from any of the Releasees.
• That this Agreement shall be effective and binding upon my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators and assigns.
• I hereby authorize you to charge my credit card for any damages regardless of whom with in the renter’s party caused the damages to cottages or boat/motors and accessories to boats including improper clean up of cottages or boats.
• Any pets must be kept leashed while on the Resort property at all times. Pets are not permitted on furniture.
• Additional overnight guests are subject to a nightly fee and must check in at arrival.  If the office is closed, text 519-495-1446 upon their arrival.
• Check in time is 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. and checkout time is 10:00 am. Early check in or late check out may be available upon request. (subject to cabin availability and may be subject to additional fees). Check-in past 8:00 pm must be arranged with the resort directly.
• Guests are required to be  courteous to other guests, the hosts, and the neighbours while on The Resort property at all times. If you are non-compliant with this request,      you may be asked to pack up and leave the resort immediately. Under these      circumstances there will be no refunds. Any damages or required cleaning will be charged to the credit card on file.
• By continuing with a booking at Coppertree Highlands Cottage Resort I agree to the Terms and Conditions herein and throughout this website.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this  privacy policy (“Policy”). This Policy describes the types of information we may collect from  you or that you may provide (“Personal Information”) on the coppertreeresort.com website  (“Website” or “Service”) and any of its related products and services (collectively, “Services”),  and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that Personal Information. It also describes the choices available to you regarding our use of your Personal  Information and how you can access and update it.  This Policy is a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “you” or “your”) and  Coppertree Highlands Cottage Resort (doing business as “Coppertree Resort”, “we”, “us” or  “our”). If you are entering into this Policy on behalf of a business or other legal entity, you  represent that you have the authority to bind such entity to this Policy, in which case the  terms “User”, “you” or “your” shall refer to such entity. If you do not have such authority, or if  you do not agree with the terms of this Policy, you must not accept this Policy and may not  access and use the Website and Services. By accessing and using the Website and Services,  you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of this  Policy.
